Using the data provided by RWA Pharmacy allowed them to move control to new levels. Tackling unclaimed scripts and exemptions in the first 12 months added a further £270 per pharmacy per month, which in total had an annual worth of over £18,000. They then moved onto driving their item growth by bringing back valuable patients that had left to go to another pharmacy, alongside driving nominations this resulted in 5,500 more items per pharmacy per month which is equivalent to £60,000 per annum for the group.
Added to that the time saved from operational reports being created & automated to the team is approx 40 hours per month which saves on average 240 admin hours per annum for the group.
Now for the detail...
The owners and managers of Flintlow have always worked very hard to maximise their commercial performance. They understand the value of data in getting the best results. However, the data comes from multiple places. These include the PMR in each of the branches, the NHS prescribing and dispensing data, the NHS payment data, delivery software data, services data, tarrif pricing, and wholesaler invoicing data which all need to be pulled together to get the full picture.
Following a presentation given by our product team at a meeting at AIM, now known as Independent Pharmacies Association (IPA), Flintlow called in the RWA Pharmacy team to see if they could help.
Since our solution, Dispensary+ Insights was installed, Flintlow have added 3 branches. Absorbing these with their new information system helped greatly. Cashflow management is now critical. Our solution predicts FP34 payments to within 98% accuracy to actual payments. Regular meetings with customer success are held to identify the next area to tackle.
